Executive Director
John Crowley

Mr. Crowley is a retired Rear Admiral in the U.S. Coast Guard. For the last 50 years he has served the maritime community. He retired as the Commander of the Great Lakes District responsible for safety, security and environmental protection in his area of responsibility.  In that capacity he worked with both US and Canadian governmental agencies aimed at supporting an effective and efficient system of maritime commerce.  As a "Cutterman" he served at sea for over ten years including four on the Great Lakes.  As a judge advocate he served as the service's Judge Advocate General.  Following retirement he served as an Executive for a global marine terminal company and then President of a trade association representing waterfront employers.
